Roaming Connection Issues S24

Hi,

I have been using my S24 on EE network (UK) on US trips for a while now. With no issues. When I arrived yesterday it would not connect to a network. I tried another SIM and it connected. I then put the original back in and that worked for a while. Then the second SIM wouldn't work. It is not the network as I rang EE and all is good their end. It feels like a phone issue after the latest update. Anybody else had issues?

Roaming can sometimes be a little funky. I like to look up which foreign cell networks my sim would work with then manually connect to them.

As in, disable "search automatically" in network operators and select one manually. Then once it connects, enable auto again

I haven't experienced any network errors on EE as I am on that network myself. If you have recently updated your phone and think it could be that.

I would advise clearing your cache partition, to see if this fixes the issue you're having ill post the steps below now:

To clear your phone's cache partition:

1. Connect your phone to a PC.
2. Turn off your phone (it won't enter Recovery Mode if it's on).
3. Press and hold the Volume Up and Bixby/Power keys simultaneously.
4. Once the Android Recovery screen appears, release both buttons.
5. Use the Volume Down button to highlight "Wipe cache partition."
6. Press the Power button to select it.
7. Use Volume Down to highlight "Yes," then press Power to confirm.
8. After the cache is cleared, press the Power button again to reboot your device.

Let me know if this fixes the problem, if it doesn't we can try other solutions.

Wiping cache partition didn't work. Thanks for the suggestion.

Any other ideas?

When I try to disable select automatically for networks it errors, saying networks not found. The connection symbol in the top ribbon is a no entry sign. Circle with line through it.

Also worth noting. I know both SIMs work in the US. I have put them in my iPad.

If i put both in my s24 only 1 works. Not always the same one, regardless of which slot I put them in. It's very odd.

Ah, that's okay I'll do some research and see if I can find anyone else who had this issue or something similar. It's quite a strange situation.
