UI 6.1 Issues

Anyone else phone heating up and using MORE battery after installing the latest ui 6.1 update? And latest Aug 2024 playstore...

Done the usual like clearing cache and updating apps etc but where I was getting around 2 days and about 6-8hours of battery it's now about 1 day and 18 hours plus heats up whenever you use for lets say 5 10 mins more notably when viewing vids on YouTube or facebook/insta...

Think they may have pushed out the update too quickly without testing... oh forgot. We are the guinea pigs for testing... ma bad....

Plus, it doesn't say 6.1.1 update but just 6.1 is that normal?

UPDATE: thanks to a few good messages from members especially @Fiona26 finally got this sorted.

It was a combination of badly optimised apps (here's looking at you PayPal) and doing numerous app updates (why can't they test apps before release?!! 🤔) AND the fact that after an partition clearing and phone restart for some funny reason adaptive power saving gets turned off! My phones now only used 10% for the last 14 hours! In total it's stating around 3 day battery life! 

Superb latest update to 6.1.1 (or 6.1 as its know for s24) is very good AFTER taking steps to clear and update apps and re add any settings if they get turned off...

It's still the 6.1.1 update. Tablets and fold/flip labeled 6.1.1 S series is 6.1 but they are identical.

Wrong, OP asked why it isn't saying "6.1.1" and that's because it's ONLY for Z devices.

Wrong, S series is also getting 6.1.1. Do your research. Samsung posted it on global newsroom.

I'm not saying they won't get it, I'm saying right now it's only for the Z series as of now. 🤔

The S24 has it worldwide? Or have you been hiding under a rock. And the S23 has it I'm Korea... with roll out expanding Monday.

They may have ui "6.1" But that's not 6.1.1, Which is what the OP is asking for.

They've installed the latest update which is 6.1.1 labeled at 6.1. What don't you understand. The OP needs to specify if it was a big update. 2.5gb+

Yes, but it WONT show as 6.1.1, it may be identical, but It's not going to show as 6.1.1 for the S series, only "6.1".
If you don't understand me, then respectfully wise up and stop arguing in a *Community Forum*.

I have a s24 ultra in got the 6.1.1 update and now the messages ai doesn't  work there's no writing in the circle so I don't know what to use to correct my message it was fine before the 6.1.1 update
