I just got this S24 Brand New today, and it is stuck on One UI 6.1 Android 14, August 2024 Security Patch.

The software Service Provider Version is showing:

SAOMC_SM-S921U_OYN_XAA_14_0015

XAA/XAA,XAA/CHA

I saw online that XAA is for US models but I don't live in the US. Please what can be done

If your phone is out of its region
Its unlikely to get any over the air updates
You can try connecting to a computer and using smartswitch to check for available updates
But personally I'd recommend returning the phone and getting your money back
You need to purchase a phone from the region you reside in

If you've tried Smartswitch and that hasn't pulled any updates through then you'll either have to return it for refund or get yourself a sim card for a us carrier and set your device up with that and then try to update.

I just went through this same problem with my S24 and after doing a lot of digging online I fixed it. I bought my S24 refurbished on Amazon and it was carrier-unlocked, but it was not receiving any new updates. I contacted Samsung and my carrier, but they were no help.

I finally learned that you have to change the CSC code using a program called SamFW tool, which you can find on Samfw.com or download the zip file directly here: https://samfw.com/SamFwToolSetup_v4.9.zip. It's very easy to do. Much easier than using ODIN.

I'm in the US and my CSC code on my phone was XAA, but it still wasn't getting any updates. My phone was originally on the T-Mobile network, but my current carrier is on Verizon. So I used the SamFW program on my Windows laptop to change the CSC code to VZW (Verizon). As soon as I did that I immediately had the newest software updates available to me.

Here's a great youtube video that shows you exactly how to change the CSC using the SamFW tool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wO3OEy206A

Before you connect your phone to your PC you have to turn on USB debugging on your phone by enabling the secret "Developer Options" menu. You do that by clicking on the Build Number 7 times.

You can also use the Samfw.com website to find CSC codes that work in your country/region.

Google's AI will also give you step by step instructions if you search for "how to change CSC on Galaxy S24."

By the way, I originally tried using Smart Switch on my PC to look for updates, but it didn't work.
