If by texting you mean SMS, they are at a par with each other.

RCS? Me personally I don't like it and don't use it (long story but relating to both sender and receiver need to have RCS turned on and if you then send that person an SMS it seems to have an issue and vice versa so I stopped using it). But from what I've seen on here, some prefer Samsung, some prefer Google.

Overall though, don't think there is much in it.

You may not be able to for much longer as Samsung Messages is being wound down

I agree with Piper123 that I've found precious little difference between Samsung and Google's Messages app. Similarly, I also find RCS to be unreliable, so leave it purely in non-chat mode, then use WhatsApp for chat messaging.

Is that official? It slightly explains a notification in the Samsung Messages app I had yesterday. Can't remember the exact words but was about 'upgrading' to Google's Messages. I thought it was just Google trying it on!

No different. Just Google wants to force us to use their app and not Samsung.
