Google play updates commonly do this. They're quite different to normal phone updates. All of us are on the same version, no matter the phone.

I'm talking about the google system update, the one that google started rolling to pixels 2 days ago,in january's update. You know, the ones that google describes as to "improve security and reliability", if someone cares about bs like that
