Super fast charging stopped working after update

Hello, 

I have just updated my phone to the latest security patch and now my fast or super fast charging does not work at all amd I can only charge at a slow rate.

I have the samsung cable and plug that supports 45w charging and all was working fine till I updated.

How can I get a fix for this please 🙏

Yes, I don't see the message at all when the phone is in the lock screen or unlocked at any charge percentage i just get the "charging" message...

I used to see the message before the update

It's not a common issue and is unlikely to be the update causing the issue. If you have any other cable and chargers to try out, see if it makes any difference. I'm using an S25 Ultra (OneUI 8 beta), Tab S8 Ultra and S21 Ultra on OneUI 7, all charging perfectly fine as before the update. I've never seen any update break any of the Superfast charging and I've owned practically every Samsung phone with Superfast Charginng 2.0 (Note 10+ 5G being the first).

I have seen you post in mutiple threads that the charging issue is not related to software. I wish you did some research and will see it is indeed a software issue! Dont believe me call Samsung yourself and they will also confirm this information just like i did. Just because you have not been affected by the update it does not mean others have not.

If it's software related, it would indicate an underlying problem with specific batches, however, since we aren't seeing widespread reports affecting more devices, this would be unlikely. Given that most are sporadic claims, especially after an update, it's more likely a weakness in their device which the update has potentially exposed.

The update definitely broke my S24 Ultra. It super fast-charged before the update and barely charges at all after. It's not the charge block or the cable. Also, my USB cameras are no longer detected after the update.

Ive started having issues with super fast charging on my s25 ultra. When plugged into normal speed charger, USB C port works when inserted either way. However when using a super fast charging plug, the USB C works one way (but only with slow speed charging) and not the other.

I dont think theres anything in the port, its sounds like it may not be hardware. So has anyone else had this. That might be able to educate me🤣

Same problem here on S24U since June security patch, all fast charging worked fine after One UI 7 update, but the June security patch broke it for me.

Only slow charging available.

Sometimes when I first plug in I get the super fast charging 2.0 message, then drops to fast charging, then drops to just charging.

Can confirm chargers and cables work fine with all other devices, including other Samsung devices that super fast charge.

Definitely the latest software update for me, and no way to roll back that I can see?

Have cleared cache partition.
