Hello,

I have just updated my phone to the latest security patch and now my fast or super fast charging does not work at all amd I can only charge at a slow rate.

I have the samsung cable and plug that supports 45w charging and all was working fine till I updated.

How can I get a fix for this please 🙏

Its pure Samsung problem - firmware, confirmed by Samsung support in Poland. They claimed that it will be fixed with next update. It happened few days ago and.... Nothing still not working. Dont waste your money on port replacement! Throw away that sshit and buy Iphone - this is what Im going to do very soon.

Cleaning my port pins with ethanol did the job for me and resolved it. Someone recomended here isopropanol.

I believe as mentioned it affected the registered voltage in the port and denying the charge

Yeah - i opened a case and they flat out denied it was firmware. I've paid it now so will see what they find ! Cheers

If you google "Samsung super fast charging problems" there are tousends of people who have the same problem. There are apps like AccuBattery which will show you exact power consumption - I recommend to install and check after port replacement. I can bet that they will simply take your money for nothing and then claim that everything is as expected ^_^. I tried few times to speak with Samsung support but all the time the same story: do you have proper charger ? do you have proper cable ? is fast charging option ON ? bullshit... Everytime I started conversation with them stated that it was working fine and like half year ago it just stopped and it happened after firmware update. And everytime they pretend to do not see my statement and coming with these stupid questions...

An update: apparently it was a port issue. Got it replaced and then it worked. They couldn't tell why it happened though my port was clean and had no issues with normal charging.

Thanks for the update - I tried to get mine repaired in official repairer but they said it was working OK despite the lack of fast or sf charging. It isn't though. I'll get a backstreet guy to replace the port and report back.

So the backstreet guys tried a number of chargers and said 9 watts charge speed reported by DevCheck was "very good speed". I was under the impression the phone can handle 45w. So - I'm not getting anywhere.
