SMS Read Receipts

Hi.

I have turned off the read receipts option in the settings (I use Samsung Messages). However, when I send a message, it says 'Read' on my message.

Can this be turned off? It only happens with a number I do not have saved in my contacts.

Do you have rcs/chat services enabled? If so, some numbers you message won't be done with sms, it'll be done with rcs. So your read receipt setting won't apply for those

It will only happens if you and the recipient have enable RCS. If you disable RCS, you will not get delivered and received notifications.

Where is the option for RCS on Samsung Messages?

Toggle off chat features, that is the wifi and data messages RCS
