Pre ordered an S24+ which was delivered yesterday along with a Smart View Wallet Case. Set it up this morning and the smart cover doesn't work. I've had them on all my Samsung phones to date and I like the concept.
This one It basically does nothing, phone doesn't wake when opened, doesn't shut display when closed and no screen view in the window. Tried everything then contacted Samsung support this afternoon. To be fair got chatting to a lovely woman and phone answered quickly. She suggested I went into accessories in settings, which isn't there. She took over control of the phone remotely and confirmed the accessories setting which should appear with the smart cover fitted was missing. The issue has been escalated and hoping for a response after the weekend.
Anyone else had this issue and found a fix?

So, finally resolved. Having heard nothing contacted Sansung again via online chat. They eventually confirmed the return had been authorised but for some reason we're unable to supply a return label. Instead they arranged for a DPD collection the following day. I got confirmation of receipt at the weekend and a refund into my account today so well done Samsung.
As an aside, I sold on the watch 6 which I got as part of the bundle as I thought it was pants and dreadful battery life. My present smartwatch lasts up to 2 weeks on a charge and does allvI need.

@BigAl94 try Safe Mode > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict.

on S24 ultra, mine appears in the setting menu as "Cover Screen".

Try taking the cover off and then re - inserting the phone back into the cover. When you first apply the cover it initiates a download of the cover screen software. Make sure you are connected to the internet.
