Pre ordered an S24+ which was delivered yesterday along with a Smart View Wallet Case. Set it up this morning and the smart cover doesn't work. I've had them on all my Samsung phones to date and I like the concept.
This one It basically does nothing, phone doesn't wake when opened, doesn't shut display when closed and no screen view in the window. Tried everything then contacted Samsung support this afternoon. To be fair got chatting to a lovely woman and phone answered quickly. She suggested I went into accessories in settings, which isn't there. She took over control of the phone remotely and confirmed the accessories setting which should appear with the smart cover fitted was missing. The issue has been escalated and hoping for a response after the weekend.
Anyone else had this issue and found a fix?

Samsung tech support called me back today, ran some more checks remotely and advised me the cover must be faulty and to contact sales for a replacement or refund. Did so and they are to get back to me in 1/2 days by email with instructions. I've decided to go for a refund as not so impressed with the large window on the front which is open rather that a transparent plastic section as previous covers.

So, five days later Samsung are playing silly beggars! No further contact from them despite a further phone call from myself to be told they are trying to get authorisation to refund the cost of the cover as it was a "bundle" . To me the only element of bundle is that I got the cover at 30% discount so instructions to return the faulty cover and a refund of £30.80, the discounted cost should be simple enough I would have thought! They don't make it easy. I see that I can raise a dispute for part of the transaction through PayPal which I will do next week if not resolved.

So, finally resolved. Having heard nothing contacted Sansung again via online chat. They eventually confirmed the return had been authorised but for some reason we're unable to supply a return label. Instead they arranged for a DPD collection the following day. I got confirmation of receipt at the weekend and a refund into my account today so well done Samsung.
As an aside, I sold on the watch 6 which I got as part of the bundle as I thought it was pants and dreadful battery life. My present smartwatch lasts up to 2 weeks on a charge and does allvI need.

I had the same issue and I needed to remove data and cache from Google Assistant and then restart the device, and doing that it worked

I had the same problem: the little screen not showing when closing the smart cover. I then removed the metal plaque that I had placed underneath the cover to fix the mobile to the magnete of the car holder and...problem solved.
