Service Provider

So I've just heard that I can change the service provider of my phone from a carrier locked service provider to an unlocked one. Now I'm not the type to go messing with this stuff and sure as heck don't want to even try considering they may definitely be a lot of downfall with this. I would also like to point out that I WILL NOT BE TELLING ANTONE HOW TO DO THIS!

I just want to know has anyone actually do this if it is possible and was it really worth it?

Nothing mysterious about it. Call the network provider and ask for it to be unlocked

I've checked that. The phones are unlocked for sims not the phones service meaning we can use our phones on any sim however updates will be provided by the network providers themselves.

Just to indulge you though. In the UK as far as I know most phones are unlocked and can be used with any network.

Before used to be where you'd have to call your provider for an unlock code for it to be used with other networks.

What is an unlocked service provider? The SIM card is always locked to a service provider, that's why there is roaming for using the card on other networks. Mobile phones are not locked to networks, as per EU directives, for almost 10 years.

Phones are not locked to networks via sim cards as of January 1st 2022. They still locked to providers when we talk about updates.

Mobile phones bought directly from Samsung or over the counter are not locked to a specific provider and receive updates directly from Samsung. There are instructions on how to change the csc on the xda forum, but there is also a warning that you do it at your own risk.
