Screen write on S24 Ultra

When I do a screen write on the S24 Ultra, the picture darkens a ton.  Never seen this on my S22 Ultra.  Seems most prominent when writing on pictures I've taken on the phone rather than screenshots.

Ah, OK. I'm not saying there's necessarily a link here - it's more of a "try it and see" suggestion. However, do you have the Super HDR setting toggled on in the Gallery?

If not, then I recommend checking this to see if it makes a difference. To toggle it on, please open the Gallery app > Click the 3-line menu on the bottom right > Settings > Toggle Super HDR on > Try Screen Write again to see if the picture brightness remains consistent.

No I'm not experiencing this on my phone @Rainman22  🤔

Would you mind taking a photo...  then doing a screenwrite on that photo and comparing to see if it darkened?

A photo of anything in particular @Rainman22

Amy particular settings etc.

Hi, @Rainman22. That's peculiar. I haven't been able to replicate this on my side. Are the photos/pictures on which you're utilising Screen Write accessed via the Gallery app or via another app?

Nothing particular...  anything.  Just compare lightness/darkness after screen writing on that photo...  compare the original to the one with writing on it.

Through the gallery app...  every photo I take and then write on is doing it for me.

Yes, exactly.   The lower photo is different sized, (if you tapped the photo again I think the borders would go away) but does also look darker to me...  Do you agree?
