@Barty181: During the initial setup I believe there is an option to choose your preferred language, however if the menus are in Mandarin/Chinese then it may be difficult to navigate and select the correct option. You may be be better off advertising the phone as a Chinese model in the interest of transparency, so the buyer understands what they are purchasing.

Disable talk back as per instruction in Chinese
"TalkBack is on. To turn it off, touch and hold with two fingers for 5 seconds.
Talkback is on
TalkBack will read the content on your screen and change the way navigation works on your device. To turn off, tap [Turn off TalkBack] twice.
Turn off Talkback
Welcome to TalkBack

Thanks, I've managed to remove talkback and re-set the language back to English by switching data and setting from my new phone, do you know if I can now remove everything without doing factory restore which will default again to chinese ?

You can log out of your accounts. Deinstall all apps. Delete manually all files etc.
When you got the phone first, how did you set it up?
