Samsung has always positioned itself as the leader in Android updates, promising faster, longer-lasting software support than its competitors. Yet, as of late February 2025, One UI 7 is still in beta testing, while other brands have already completed their Android 15 rollouts.

Samsung Needs to Fix This NOW

Samsung must immediately address the following issues:

✅ Provide a clear and official One UI 7 release timeline.

✅ Improve communication and transparency regarding delays.

At this point, Samsung users deserve answers. If competitors can roll out Android 15 on time, why is Samsung, the biggest Android manufacturer, still struggling?

Using an AI-generated response to something you seem passionate about detracts from your point.

Reality is, Google makes the software, so of course they have had it first. The S25 Ultra (Samsung's flagship) has UI 7, and there are hardly any issues with it. If you understood software development, you would understand why it's not possible to just slap it on all other devices; their hardware isn't the same as the S25 series and needs heavy adjusting to ensure no issues.

How can you be shocked that Google has had its testing for UI 16? They literally make Android. It's been shown that Google purposely delays it for other brands.

The update will be done when it's done. You would equally be upset if they released a lackluster, generic OS—like other brands. Samsung is building the new UI 7 from the ground up, so yes, it's taking longer.

Samsung is the biggest Android manufacturer because they are simply better: their hardware, UI features, stability, and ecosystem. You can disagree, but they wouldn't be where they are if this were untrue.

*Edge panel is still there?
*Google assistant is now easier, either clicking the side button
*Now brief comes with UI7. So when it released it'll be fine.
*The "broken" features aren't broken. Ive seen maybe a maximum of 2 reports on samsung members for fingerprints, none for quick panel and none for animations inconsistencies.

UI 6 works fine, no? So be patient for a stable release.

AI is good. But if you want to make a good point, don't be lazy. I can respect your viewpoints, but make them your own.

Look I totally understand and appreciate your viewpoint on this. 

I reply to your thread as a long time user of Samsung phones and in my experience software and security patches have vastly improved over time. 

Having a stable software update is paramount for me. 

Security patches being vital. 

Just my 2 cents.

Well if you can't wait for it then just buy the s25 and you will get android 15 there the s24 will probably get the update end of December pr mid July LOL

Not arguing about AI. But to be taken seriously, make your point your own. Generating a personal opinion with AI is interesting.

In terms of other brands, as I've said, in my opinion, they are very generic, lacking features—which makes Samsung better. They are not the most popular manufacturers for a reason. I have no doubt they are good, but to me, Samsung is putting a lot more into UI 7.

I can agree with them not keeping the public as up-to-date as they should be, but I'm sure there's a reason behind it (false promises).

So, then move to a different brand if your getting frustrated. It may be a longer wait if Samsung start bringing the Z flips and Folds to the beta program as that's the latest news going around. According to a Sammobile.com post today

You seem to have answered your own question there.

No other android offers so much customisation and cool new features ( which you have mentioned in your post) than Samsung.

Not to mention their AI is so much more and better then anyone else.

Your frustration is genuine but you have just used some very weak points to make your point across.

Samsung is moving towards more stable and whole some products and OS.

S24 series beta has been one of the best beta I had so much so I used it abroad without issues.

I also realised the Elite snapdragon will be a game changer and given Samsung does really good preorders I have moved to the S25 series.

I agree the difference is huge.

On another note. Now that the groundwork is set for One UI with oneui7 you can expect faster rollouts from oneui8.

They literally released an update for the S25 series within the last week and all other devices. Their monthly updates seem to be just fine to me.
