Why isn't Samsung having the feature of choosing the subject focus while recording and after the video has ended.

I don't get how Apple have this feature but Samsung doesn't have an option of changing the focus subject post video..

Samsung are usually the ones who have these type of features. It's bizzare how they don't have it.

Can they do this with an update?

I believe apple has some kind of a depth sensor which makes them do it.

Agree why Samsung can't do the same as well.

Could be because of the larger 200MP or something else.

I know for sure another phone could do that as well. Nokia or some other. Can't remember.

So this is not a software feature. It's more of a hardware thing?

Kinda both.

I do know for a fact that for that the phone usually take a wide angle photo and the portrait photo and then kinda merge them or something like that.

Here is an explanation of the Nokia Refocus

Nokia apparently used software only.

Apple I believe does both software and hardware.

PS. Above is for photo with Nokia not video

I'm a content creator and I film with the portrait video alot. So having the option of where to focus would be so helpful. I hope Samsung can bring this with an update
