Hello, 

I've got brand New S24 Ultra. I  love the phone. But comes with a small problem. The microphone cuts off during conversation wherever I open any other app than WhatsApp. Any ideas  ??? Please help me to solve this problem.

I am also facing almost similar problem. In my case when the phone screen is off and  i receive whatsapp call, i only hear the ringtone and no notification on screen though every notification setting is On for whatsapp. If i pick this call through bluetooth device button, then call gets picked up but mic never activates unless i unlock the screen. If screen is unlocked then mic works perfectly fine and if i again lock screen then mic cutout.

I find Temorary solution for my problem. If we pick the whatsapp call by unlocking the phone screen or if its unlock then also from the screen( not through the bluetooth device button) then mic works perfectly fine even in lock screen. So for the time being this issue isfixed use phone screen to answer the calls.

To all who got S24 series and having audio cut off during WhatsApp when you switch apps. In my case I could hear the person but they couldn't hear me. So I may finally figured out the solution and the problem. Did you use Smartswitch to transfer everything? If you did and have same issue, then follow on for the answer. This is gonna be a hassle but you need to reset to factory settings.  But wait,  firstly you need to back up everything.  Back up everything. Back up WhatsApp and back up on Samsung cloud too there's a temporary option and I suggest importing contacts on to your Sim just in case too. This is a pain to reset and to re set up but only way to fix it.. and this time when after it resets and it switches on again you set it up and you do smart switch but you MUST choose "Custom". Do NOT choose copy everything. In CUSTOM. Select the apps you want contacts messages photos basically everything Except phone settings. This is where the issue is. Do not keep any phone settings.  Then process transfer. After you finished transferring apps first go to WhatsApp and test if it OK.. call someone and test if audio cuts for them when you switch apps etc. Goodluck!! 😉 I was so upset it was doing this..brought it to servicing repair and Samsung didn't help said to me maybe just reset and individually transfer. They had no answers. So I really hope this fixes it for everyone 😊
