I thought I would jump in to this discussion about the S24 Ultra screen colours, I agree with the fact that vivid vs natural settings don't seem to show much difference, easier to see the difference if your phone is not in dark mode. I pulled up the same image on my S24 Ultra on the left and on my iPhone 15 Pro Max on the right.

I put both screens at 50% brightness and I ensured that true tone was switched off on the iphone and any adaptive colour tone or eye comfort modes and any adaptive brightness settings to make it fair.

The first thing I notice is how much whiter the whites are on the S24 ultra, the iphone has a yellowish tinge to the whites. Secondly the grey is much more accurate on the S24 ultra (I checked this same image on my professional colour graded editing monitor). The colours are more crisp on the S24 Ultra and sharper but certainly in no way are they muted compared to the iphone 15 Pro Max. As a professional photographer and videographer I would definitely take the S24 Ultra screen over the iphone especially when it comes to colour accuracy.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments below, before anyone asks I purchased both phones myself, no biases or review units here.

I use less than 50% brightness, have you tried using adaptive colour tone option?

This is happening to my pics in s24 ultra. I am fairer and whiter than my skin tone in all the pics and selfies20240205_221750_41828_1707171470.jpg

That's the opposite to what I am experiencing, what settings have you got setup for selfies? Front camera or back? In your image how have you got your screens setup?

Thank you for putting together a well written post 👍

I do prefer the Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra as it's more natural.

That said I understand and appreciate other owners want more punchy colours as they've preferred the Vivid option.

If an update comes to appease these owners I think most people unhappy would then be happier.

I have the Adaptive Colour Tone turned on in my phone's settings and I'm happy with that.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Hello there. I appreciate this conversation. The iPhone has a nice screen but I'm not comparing it to an iPhone I'm comparing it to the s23 and Note 20 ultra. The colours seem super washed out to me. Still a fantastic screen tho!
