Samsung Galaxy s24 charging port not working

Hi, My new (2 month) Samsung Galaxy s24's one of charging port not working (it works just only from one direction). I I think problem has occured after copying file from phone storage to OTG USB flash drive. Is it hardware issue or software?

Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum. 

Have you tied an alternative oem cable and checked that the usb-c port does nkt have any foreign debris inside. Use a torch 🔦 

Usb reset.
Settings > Apps > Tap the 3 lines with the downward facing arrow, to the right of 'Your apps' > Show system apps (toggle this on) > OK > Scroll down, and tap on 'USBSettings' > Storage > Clear cache > Clear data, then restart your device. 

There is also a diagnostic tool found in the Samsung Members App. 

A Samsung Service Centre can assess the phone.

Hi, maybe it was dodgy cable (I am just a client) - but how Samsung cant handle it? For this type of issues there are self defence mechanisms.

Same, I am a customer too.
I have seen this before on the S24 Ultra, when I brought a cheap cable off the street as I forgot to bring mine out and needed to charge my phone.

I don't understand what you mean by self defense mechanism?

Take off phone case and hold a portable fan on the back of the phone for 1 minute AFTER RESTARTING.........
