Samsung DEX dock compatible with S24 **Update, yes it does work**

**Update** Yes it does work, only issue is if you have a case then the USB-C connecter doesnt connect, so either you remove the case or like i did, get a USB-C extension cable.

My setup is i have plugged it into my monitor on the 2nd HDMI port, i also have a USB switch so i can share my keyboard and mouse on both my laptop and DEX dock.

So far no issues, and luckily i got the new EE-MG950 DEX dock for £15 on eBay 😉

Can someone confirm if this dock would work with a S24? It's got a USB-C connector. Also only going for about £25 on ebay for a brand new one.

What are you trying to achieve, by using the dock for DeX?

If you don't have a Monitor with USB C, you could try and source the old DeX HDMI to USB C, but again it might not be compatible with the S24, might be worth investigating newer cables but for sure you wouldn't get Power delivery only picture and maybe sound.

But what has changed on DEX from an S8 to S24, the basic fundamentals are still the same. The dock just acts as a USB-C port replicator

I just want the simplicity of docking the phone on my work monitor and just switching the source. I have already a USB switch for the keyboard and mouse.

Also, I have a brand new dock for £15 which I have just purchased. I will try it and see how I get on. If it works great, else I'll just selling back on ebay. Wish me luck🤞

Fully agree. Also on a different note I have a NexDock 360 which I have been using on different Galaxy phones and this is brilliant.

I don't know, sorry, but that bit of kit is definitely outdated. Just get a decent multi hub, most are compatible with Dex.

I am a big fan of Dex and love the flexibility I have been enjoying from S9 era. Last week I baught S24 and this phone is not connecting to the same working setup!!! I have multiple docking stations one at home one in office. One of them is HP as well. Why the hell on S24 does not work. I cant accept I have to buy any cable. It is terrible advice. I am the only person on entire floor using a Samsung phone and could challenge the iphone users for this one key feature. Now I feel really bad for Samsung as if I dont get a solution I will return the phone and may even switch to iphone after many years
