My S24 ultra has the same issue too. I moved from a S23+ to the 24U and the difference in colours b/w them is day and night! I was just starting to buy into the Samsung ecosystem, and i am utterly disappointed with Samsung being mute about the issue.
Apart from having dull colours, my display also has a greenish tint all over.
Hoping it's just a software issue/bug and not a hardware problem, and it's resolved with a patch at the soonest!

I've been to the main repair center in my center. Mine was the first to be present for diagnosis. Not much was told as they had no comparison point. They talked to Samsung but not much info was passed about that call, except that I should either return the phone or wait for an update.

Debit Cards are more tricky, there are ways to get your money back, but it is not as simple as with a CC. I always recommend to use a CC for that extra protection.
If it were a proper fault, I assume that Samsung will have to admit it when the numbers of customers with the problem increases and begin to make a lot of noise. Of course, they might not, but angering a large number of customer who buy flagship products is not in any company's interest.
I have no experience with paypal. I did have an issue with a Sony TV and a Sony Centre that went down the drain. Sony never admitted that there was a problem, quite the contrary they went to great lengths to block me. They even stop the repair centre from giving me any documentation proving what they had found. Nevertheless, my CC refunded me all of my money and took the TV.
It was not pleasant, but I got my money.
Again, I do not think that there will be a need for all of that on this case. The screen was proven to be brighter than the previous one. The fact that there is no visible change between the two modes, makes a software issue the most likely cause. The settings are changed but not applied.

The issue seems to be with the AWM9 firmware devices. I just spoke to SAMSUNG UK and they confirmed that they have received multiple complaints about this issue and are working on a fix via a software update which I believe should be imminent given the phone officially releases on the 31st Jan 2024. If the update doesn't come this week (WC 29/01/2024) then log a complaint via Samsung Customer repair team. Again this is not a hardware issue or because of the anti reflective screen. This is very obviously a software issue as you can also note in the advanced settings playing with the RGB levels doesn't have an affect at all.

I didn't check it myself but someone wrote in a comment on YouTube that he went to Samsung store and compared the demo S24 ultra with his and they had the same versions of software but the demo models didn't have the same dull screens.

The dull colors is (unofficially) confirmed to be an AWM9 issue. Anything regarding the grainy display? Maybe it is an AWM9 issue too, but a display defect? I guess nobody knows.

Can you please link to the confirmation?
All I see is a YouTuber saying that but Samsung never ever confirmed anything as far as I know.

I should have worded better. It's not an official statement. Most people are just saying that is in fact the case only on AMW9 devices.
