Anyone else noticed the titanium frame scratches very easily?

The phone has been in a case since brand new, cleaned daily to remove any dust etc.

Just taken it out of the case again today and I can't believe how scratched the frame is in the space of a week. Looks terrible.

It will be kept in a case to protect from drops etc so won't really be seen but I wasn't expecting it to be this bad in such a short amount of time, especially considering the titanium frame is being sold as more robust etc.

Titanium grey for anyone wondering.

Glad to hear, that's what I'd expect! Unfortunately in my case the bezel is absolutely covered in imperfections. Had a look online and there's quite a few reports of it, some a lot worse than mine.

The worst affected part seems to be along the top rail, and also along the bezel across the top of the ear piece which appears to be chipping away.

Hey, so I've had my S24 Ultra for three weeks now, and I just took the case off to clean it. Guess what? I found some chips on the titanium side. Is this normal or what?

Hi there, I don't think it should be considered normal, but there's no way Samsung will replace it as they will diagnose it as cosmetic damage. Unfortunately it looks like something that will happen and we just have yo live with it. Not great I know! What colour do you have?

I spoke to Samsung. They said it's not normal. First, try the place of purchase. If you have no luck, Samsung may be able to look at the device and possibly cover it under warranty since it's only three weeks old. 📱🔧

Keep us updated - I think you'd be very fortunate to get a replacement. Bear in mind their return policy is that you have to send your device then wait for inspection and then a decision will be made. Unless you have any joy with the retailer. Just keep in mind you might not have it for a while whilst it all gets processed

A few years ago I bought a new Samsung phone and thought I had received a previously used phone as the sides were all scratched up.

It turns out I didn't remove the thin strips of clear plastic to protect the phone.  I posted those photos online not realizing I was unaware those plastic strips were in in place.

Yeah left my phone in an otterbox defender for a week. No sand no dust black marks when I cleaned off the rails bright shiny spots... for 1300 I'd assume the frame would be as resistant as the watch 5 that I use daily with no marks. Guess imma have to avoid Samsung they are going everywhere Apple does. 1300 and no SD with weaker the aluminum frame.
