I don't know if other people have this problem but my S24 Ultra has a weird grain across the whole display. It's very bad especially when gray or dark backgrounds are present. Is this normal or should I be contacting samsung for help further?

All I can describe it as hundreds of lines going from the top left corner of the bottom right, but across the entire display

In India, If we highlight issues they are deleting our post. Lot of issues with display.

I've sent my S24 Ultra for a service maintenance earlier today. The grain, the banding, and the pale colors are terrifying, especially in dark environments.

Device specs:

  • Model number: SM-S928B/DS
  • RAM & Storage: 12GB/256GB
  • Region & CSC: Bulgaria (EUX)
  • Color: Titanium Black

My second S24 Ultra (replacement) had the same issue, so I requested a refund 😞

Please see the attached, the update did fix the colour problem; but the display still gives me eye strain and is down right awful. I find it hard that a £1200 device has this problem and isn't considered defective, if it's "by design" why do some people have it and other not. In my case I want to return the device, but Samsung have me locked in because I traded in my S22 Ultra for this POS. I had zero problems with my S22 Ultra apart from having mid battery, I really wish I didn't "upgrade" now. If Samsung don't sort this out, I'll end up either having to sell the phone and cutting my losses or taking them to small claims court.

If you buy a car and the engine won't start, do you automatically assume because someone else isn't having the same problem; your car is 100% in working condition?

Your display seems to be less prone to it than mine, I can have my brightness at 50% and still see it.

I find it ironic how people are trying to justify these defects, it's a £1200 flagship if it's not perfect to the naked eye the display is not up to satisfactory quality. I'm glad the UK has robust laws, because of all this I'll likely never touch another Samsung device; I'm completely done with the attitude of being told nothing is wrong despite me showing multiple people and them also agreeing it's not good.

I really wish I'd have just traded in my S22 Ultra through music magpie or something, at least I could have returned the phone and got my money back; I'm locked into this because I traded in my device for convenience. This entire process has taught me to always pay with a credit card or buy from a store with a reputable return and customer service department.

Here is how mine looks. I'm not sure if it should be like this or defect . 1712292738370.jpgSmartSelect_20240404_174826_X_1000000051_1712249306.jpg
