S24 Ultra refuses to switch on.

I have just noticed that my mobile has been off. I believe it had over 80% power 2 days ago and I have not actually used it since but been using my other mobile. I have connected it to the mains power but no indication of life. I expected a kind of battery charging indicator to show but none. As anyone had their brand new S24 or S23 gone dead suddenly? Do anyone know why it would have just gone off and nothing shows up? It defiled my years of tech knowledge on electronics and computer building.

Hello! I'm having the same problem, suddenly my s24 ultra wont turn on even when I charge it. No indication of life as well. During your overnight charging, have you seen the charging sign/symbol appear?

I have the same issue. My brand new S24 Ultra, died overnight.

It worked when I went to sleep. In the morning, completely dead. power+volume down tested, no success.

Left it in charger for about 6 hours. Still dead.

Have had this phone for less than a month.

Hi all - I had this issue too - started on the 24th June 2024 while flying out!!

Got on a flight to Turkey - phone was on 92% 

Left my phone in the airplane pocket in front of me as I was watching a movie on My Mrs Ipad

4 hours later about to land - I took my phone out of the pocket so that I could take it off Airplane mode and wallah - It was OFF!!!!

So on day 1 I left it on charge all day - Nothing on the screen - Using an original Samsung fast charger 

Nothing!

Day 2 tried the reset procedure - Nothing - Charged it a bit more - Nothing

Day 3 left it on charge all day again - Nothing

Day 4 - I took the USB C out of my charger - plugged it into my laptop - Left it while we went out all day - Came back - Nothing

However!!!

I got so annoyed with it - I randomly decided to insert and take out the charger approx 10/20x quickly

So USB C in out in out in out

Wallah - The lightning logo came on the screen - 0%

I left it toi charge overnight - Day 5 morning it was on 100%

Has been working perfectly since - WTF!!!!!!!!!

Was a lot more stressful than I can type here but what a strange issue!

Update.

My phone was sent to workshop, warranty. They changed the Charging port and motherboard. Just got it back, and it is working, off course.

Same with me. Phone is acting weird then I tried to restart. Mobile got switched off but didn't restart. Then it was completely unresponsive. Charged my mobile for  15 mins and pressed power and volume down button for long time. Screen turned on and it installed some software update. Now it's back to life

Yeah, mine just did that, was working fine one night, woke up to it being dead next morning.

It did not charge, did not get recognized by the computer, leaving it on overnight on an extended charge didn't do anything, as well as trying all the prolonged button pressing combination.

It was the 1Tb version and I guess I've lost all the contents, could anybody that went through a warranty repair confirm? Did you get any kind of compensation from Samsung?

I have the same problem, I was on a flight with 50% charge listening to music on Spotify and suddenly it turned off, and I can't get it to turn back on, I'm afraid I've lost all the photos I took on the trip, I'm going to have to activate the guarantee, I was really disappointed with this situation

I know it sounds odd but try what worked for me... Keep inserting the charger into the port loads of times quickly...

I did it in frustration but it must of triggered something for it to come on.

My phone hasn't lost any of the files of pictures but... It has no record of actually being on before the 24th June. I'm thinking battery issue.

I work in the motor trade so I'm not surprised at internal electrics failing on anything anymore.
