S24 ultra freezing - UI 6.1 Issue

I updated my phone on the 21st may to the latest UI 6.1 update and now it keeps freezing.

The home screen will freeze, the home button and back key stops working, the on and off button on the side of the phone stops working. Strangely the pull down menu still works so I have to restart my phone from there. The 'recents' button (the 3 lines at the bottom left side) occasionally works, but then it just overlays the home screen wigits on whatever app I was using before, and freezes again.

It's definitely a latest update issue, as nothing else is new on my phone. Never had this issue before the update.

Anyone else have this issue or a solution please?

update: 15/08/24 - freezes via the camera app now... Occasional home freezes. I sent in a report back when I wrote this and only got a 'recieved' but no reply

I follow these steps and the problem still persists. would wait for the update to correct that problem.

Could also send Error Report. Go to Samsung Members-Support_Send Feedback_Error Reports. Ensure that the option to send system Logs is ticked.

Hey there. I am facing the same problem too. Phone randomly freezing, last apps overlaying the home screen, top menu works but most buttons are irresponsive.

I have the exact same issue just after I updated my phone. I have tried everything, including resetting the phone back to factory settings and still having the issue.

I'm having this same issue on an s22 so it's deffinatley the 6.1 update. Has anyone found a soloution?

This also happens to my phone. I purchased a new S24+ on Thursday and a replacement was sent yesterday, they called it a manufacturer's error. Both brand new phones are doing this. It's very frustrating, especially since these are new phones.

I recently started getting the same issue too

My new phone was fine but after the update most recently it started acting up.where when switching between or opening an app it overlays on the main screen and most buttons are rendered un press able and often have to lock and unlock screen or restart for it to be temporarily sorted till it acts up again

My S24 started "jumping" around going crazy. Then eventually I found out the battery when charging the phone it got hot - Red Hot. At that time my phone started jumping! When I took it off charge and it started to cool it works perfectly!! 😁 

Another thing I bought a wireless charger which would not work at all!
