Anyone having issues with their s24 Ultra charging and using excessive battery after 1 month?
I have done a factory reset, only used samsung plugs and leads. Fobbed off over a replacement and offered a repair! I can not be without a phone due to family and business.
Very disappointed as I traded in a mint condition s22ultra for this! UK based

When you say excessive battery drain. What are you experiencing?
I get two days on average from my phone.
In battery and device care. What is listed as using the battery most?

Could be an app that's constantly running in the background.

Unfortunately after the returns period. A replacement device is not normally offered and only a repair is an option.

Make sure all the apps and phone software is upto date.
Try Wiping the Partition Cashe on phone as well.

Maybe go through your apps and adjust any settings they have available.

Hey, when I first got the phone it would use maybe 40% by the evening. Now I am finding I am down to over 50% use by midday. That is without excessive use. No apps running, done the diagnostic tools scan. Cleared cache and have done a factory reset. It will only charge with a wireless pad and a portable charger.

My ideal go to when factory resetting a phone is not to restore apps and settings .

I will set up phone as new and install apps as and when I need them.

This eliminates issues with app compatibility especially if coming from an older model and makes sure I have the latest correct updated app.

The rest like photos messages etc can be restored .

Also check for any sync errors under your accounts in settings.

OK I will try this. Many thanks.

Hugely frustrating when the phone worked fine for a month

Probably some app, redundant Bluetooth device ( check under your profile and devices under settings) or a sync issues.

I have contacted Samsung directly and was told the s24 have an AI system that monitors phone usage and runs in the background, hence why batery runs excessively fast. I simply decided to return the phone and get a new one. I am off samsung after so many years .

I have been in contact with them via messenger. No real resolution, apart from a doorstep repair that will cost £200 + I don't have another phone to use whilst this one gets repaired.
I am definitely off samsung too!!

For my sins, I'm getting a full day out of nine and have done since day one.

For that I get about 8 to 9 hours streaming on low light screen, about 30 minutes call time and about 1 to 2 hours screen on time for day to day stuff like texting, internet, email etc.

I'm barely getting a morning with out having to re-charge that is minimal use. 5 mins of calls, 20 mins in car using Waze. Then phone is unused whilst I am working on clients
