S24 ultra data/signal issues

I don't know if anyone else has been having these issues. But if I'm travelling and driving from one place to another my data ends up going from 4G to 2G mode. And it doesn't come back to 4G even when I'm in a good signal area. Even after turning data off and on it stays the same. You have to reboot the phone to fix this issue.

The signal strength is also very low most of the time. Not sure if it's a phone issue or sim. I used the same sim in another phone and never had any issues.....

Please let me know if you have any ideas.

I asked to send my phone in to them and they declined and said I have to contact my carrier where I got it from

I've already done that part. I've also had a sim card replacement. I'm sure if you make it clear that you've already done everything you can with the carrier and it's not a sim issue they should do something about it....

Update: they said there is a drop in the signal probably due to a heating issue. So they have taken the device and changed some component related to sognal

Is it fixed then? Heating issue how my signal is weak even when phone is not doing anything.....

I'm guessing you had to factory reset the phone and loose all the data etc.

Definitely. You have to go through all of that before asking them to intrude on your phone. You also need to check if another sim works fine in your phone . If another is not working, then maybe it is your phone

They won't take my phone in for a repair. I filed a BBB complaint against them for that. My state laws require them to repair or replace it if it has a major defect within 4 years. If they don't, I already contacted my state attorney general.

Wow, I can't believe Samsung has dropped the ball so hard with the s24u. I'm so glad I got a refund on mine in time and went with the fold 5. Loving it with zero issues 👌
