Hi
I don't know if anyone else has been having these issues. But if I'm travelling and driving from one place to another my data ends up going from 4G to 2G mode. And it doesn't come back to 4G even when I'm in a good signal area. Even after turning data off and on it stays the same. You have to reboot the phone to fix this issue.

The signal strength is also very low most of the time. Not sure if it's a phone issue or sim. I used the same sim in another phone and never had any issues.....

Please let me know if you have any ideas.

Thanks

That's what we need. An acknowledgement so we know it's being addressed

I've not tried those options yet. I thought the first thing that would happen if you report to samsung would be that it's a sim issue. So I ended up ordering a replacement sim from Vodafone. This has only just turned up so going to try the new sim plus those 2 options.

I bet it's a software issue if it works most of the time.

I have the same issue. My s22 ultra has full 5g signal with my Sim inserted. Put it in my s24 ultra and I'm lucky to get 2 bars. Normally sits on 1 bar switching between 5g and 4g. I feel like I wasted my money.

New sim card and swapping sim into different sim slot did not help at all. It's an issue with the phone not sure software or hardware. Hoping someone from Samsung would assist?

I am not having problems with signal but my is drooping data. I will have full bars on 5G or lte+ but my data drops and everything says check your connection. Ookla speedtest says check your connection then goes to internet connection is unstable fianally the back to internet connected again. does not do this with my s21 ultra with same sim.

I took my phone back to jbhifi and spoke to one of the guys there. They said that since the s23, Samsung phones do weird things for the first few weeks from new as they learn and prioritise the usage patterns of the user.

Basically told me to wait a few weeks and data, signal and overheating issues should improve.

Yeah, mine overheats constantly. I pick it up to use it and keep getting a message that my phone needs to cool down.

Regret wasting my money on this piece of s#it. Fingers crossed the phone guy at JB is right

I have the same issues too,  s24 plus, specially in-doors, hope Samsung will acknowledged this issue

Can't imagine these signal issues with fix by itself. It will definitely need a software update as a minimum. Hopefully samsung has acknowledged the issue and are working on it.....

Also having this issue. Sometimes within a minute of rebooting the phone. Beyond frustrating. I had the Z Fold 3 before this and never had any issues.

Called my carrier and they said it had to do with WiFi calling, which I assured her it did not because it happens when I am nowhere near any saved wifi networks. Tried her advice and turned off the WiFi calling AND WiFi (just in case), still didn't fix the problem.

Just to let you guys know if it does happen to you the easier way round it instead of rebooting through phone is to go into airplane mode and come out of it. Has worked for me all this time. Just saves a bit of time compared to rebooting phone.
