Hi
I don't know if anyone else has been having these issues. But if I'm travelling and driving from one place to another my data ends up going from 4G to 2G mode. And it doesn't come back to 4G even when I'm in a good signal area. Even after turning data off and on it stays the same. You have to reboot the phone to fix this issue.

The signal strength is also very low most of the time. Not sure if it's a phone issue or sim. I used the same sim in another phone and never had any issues.....

Please let me know if you have any ideas.

Thanks

Samsung should give us some discounts or some money back as we have been used as a rat lab for the Exynos 2400

I have the same data connection issues, even if my phone says it has 5G and has full bars apps say it has no internet connection, I have to switch to airplane mode and back to make it work. I have messed with all the recommended settings to make it work but nothing has worked so far, this is really frustrating because 2 updates ago I didn't had any issues.

I live in Canada and my company buys me Samsungs. I’ve had quite a few S galaxy’s. I work for the cell company. I travel a lot for work so I bounced between towers all the time. I have yet to have one galaxy that didn’t handshake properly. They all do it. Mine drops to 3G and never comes back unless I goto airplane mode. Yet my personal iPhone handshakes all the towers. Samsung is junk. I wouldn’t buy a product from them. They’ve had years to correct this and they never have.

Same junk reception since i got the phone at the start of the year, switchibg to esim did not help. EE tell you to do one thing, Samsung to do the other but nobody really cares. I had to buy a new phone because the last one couldnt cope wirh new os updates but never had so much hassle as this s24+. Id just like to know if its the phone or carrier so i can take action against one of them but they just point at each other as the problem and consumers get ripped off by both.

Alex, I am so sorry.  I do not get this on my phone, and just saw your question.  I am in Rural US, and involves 3 phones.  Began with my Note 20,  thought it was the problem so bought the S24Ultra both unlocked, and I purchased an inexpensive Samsung when my cable company offered an intro special to try their service.    My local cable company  advertised they ran on T-mobile towers.  So, (pre-S24 Ultra), in 2019, I bought a cheap Samsung from them, and it worked so great, and plan was so inexpensive, that in 2020, I moved my Note 20 to that plan ($30 vs $85 on Verizon - phone was unlocked & had worked well on verizon)    Cable company installed an ESim on the Note 20, but the Note 20 would not stay connected to any service (wouldn't handshake towers).   if it changed towers, I had to reboot or airplane mode on/off to get it to connect. I spent 6-8 months troubleshooting this with the cable company, and Samsung.  Nothing they tried worked. So, I consistently had to reboot or turn on & off Airplane mode on the Note 20,  I then thought it might be the Esim as a problem, so my cable company installed a physical Sim.  No change to my connectivity problems - Finally I was able to order the S24 Ultra.  It came in, and I knew it to be truly unlocked.  Installed the cable company SIM from the Note 20 into the S24 Ultra and spent several days traveling and testing it - SAME thing.  It was a little better, did not disconnect quite as much, but totally unreliable.   I thought for some reason neither phone would work right on T-Mobile towers  So, I went to T-Mobile and bought a T-Mobile "Pre=paid" sim card which we installed on the Note 20 as a test.  IT WORKED GREAT.  It worked EVERYWHERE.  Absolutely everywhere, while my S24, which now had the cable company SIM (MVNO mobile virtual network operator like Spectrum, Google-Fi or any of the hundreds out there), could not stay connected anywhere.   A tech friend said that it is probably a priority issue or that the phone i bought from the cable company was optimized for them, but I still have absolutely no clue why a flagship truly unlocked phone would not work on a carrier which leases from one of the big 3 Cell providers.

But, I quit testing & just completely moved my S24 Ultra over to a regular TMobile plan, and the little samsung phone that I bought from the cable company/MVNO still works great on a $30 plan, but the S24 Ultra is now on regular T-Mobile  plan.  Sorry such a long story but both the Note 20, and S24 Ultra simply would not automatically handshake with a tower when they were on a MVNO plan from a provider that leases or purchases service from one of the Big 3.

Again, Samsung is using us as a rat lab to test the phone with this CPU. we paid same amount for an inferior product. WE SBOULD BE GETTING SOME MONEY BACK FOR FAULTY PHONE AND FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.

Started getting this issue a few weeks back (coincided with the last update).

Ever since I keep losing signal, I suspect it happens when transitioning from cell towers as I'm not sure it happens when in the same spot.

Pretty alarming as it means it happens while travelling/away from WiFi and I can't make or receive emergency calls without checking my phone and constantly putting it into airplane mode
