I've had the s24 ultra for a few weeks now the battery life is good i haven't had issues with that so far. I typically use an acefast wire that tells me the charging input for whatever device and when i charge my phone it ranges between 15w and 30w until it reaches full. a few days ago i noticed it was stuck at 8w and wouldnt go above that and the phone wasn't charging well i think it charged maybe 5% at most in half an hour or an hour. i tried different wires (not acefast) and had the same issue then i used that acefast wire on another device and it charged that normally. when i woke up i tried again to charge the phone and had the same issue. restarting the phone seemed to remedy it since it went back to charging regularly after that. it happened again today. both times it happened the phone was around 40% when this was happening not sure if that's a coincidence or a pattern.

i don't know if this means the phone or battery is faulty. i don't want to wait too long until past the point i can return the phone if there is a fault. i also plan to keep this phone for the next few years i don't want to have to deal with this on a regular basis from past experiences any issues i've had with devices only get so much worse with time i'd rather not have to deal with this especially if it gets worse over the next few years.

Yep same here, tried all differant chargers and plugs. Does not help. Have to restart my phone. Now I'm having to restart more often. Phone is only 4/5 months old

I tried everything, and then out of nowhere, it started working after a restart. The problem seems to be a defective memory partition dedicated to updates. One partition holds the current version, and the other holds updates. I think they switch every time, and one of those partitions disables fast charging. If you somehow trigger the update and it lands on the right partition, fast charging will start working again. Try updating, restarting, turning it on and off, and if all that fails, you can either wait for a new Samsung update to switch the partitions around or try to revert to an earlier version (newer phones can't revert to older software versions).

Credit goes to @GrandSatisfaction613 on Reddit for this fix!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟FIXED!!!

Hey everyone, I finally cracked the code! After a frustrating day filled with chaos from that update, I stumbled upon the solution to the super fast charging issue.

Here’s the fix: I deleted all data and cache from a few key apps.

Just go into app info in settings and clear everything out from below apps one by one.
- device care app
- modes and routine (I think this one is the main troublemaker!)
- routine+ (Bixby routine)
- gamehub (might be messing things up too with that PD BYPASS nonsense)

I also uninstalled:
- Battery Tracker
- Battery Guardian (this one seemed super suspicious)
- Thermal Guardian

And if you’ve downloaded any new apps recently, make sure to clear their data and cache too, just in case.

Next, head to the phone dialer and type in *#9900#.

Scroll to the bottom and hit ‘reset battery stats’. Then, restart your phone.

This sorted it out for me, and I hope you find it helpful too!
