Ive seen a few posts about this but relating to the S24 Ultra, but I havent seen anything on the standard size devices.
My husband has got a new Samsung Galaxy S24 and he keeps having issues with the mobile data dropping out and not coming back by itself. He was fully restarting the phone and this brings it back, now he is just switching to airplane mode and back to data again which seems to bring it back. But he is doing this several times a day. He relies on the mobile data for work so its far from ideal!
Sim works fine in his old Pixel 7, so its not that. He has swapped the device and on device number 2...same issue! Clearly something Samsungs end. So how do we fix this? To say hes put off Samsungs is quite an understatement.

There are lots of potential questions here to try to help your husband....
Firstly, I would perform a Reset (mobile) network settings. This won't clear any data but will enable the mobile network to send updated settings to the device like APN.
Secondly, is the device set to search for 5g, 4g, LTE (same as 4g), 3g and 2g?
Thirdly, how old is the SIM? Might be worth swapping it out?
Fourthly, if you pop your SIM into it, does the device have the same issue? If yes then likely device, if no then not device.

We will try a mobile reset and see how that goes and a new sim has been ordered so just waiting to try that as well.
The device is set for 5G and does use it...when it works!

Try setting the device to max out at 4g / LTE just to rule that in or out.

I do have similar problem started after lastest update. I have eSIM and physical card, both having same issue. It keeps dropping data, even ping not going through. Regarding 5g zone availability, signal is strong, I have near line sight of cellular cell/antena in my office and it worked perfectly before.
I also revoked esim and ordered new one from provider and it not helped.
Additionaly to my comment, tested with 4g only (we don't have 3g data transfer for my operator) and still happens to cutout internet. Sometimes even restarting device not helping 😕

I found a solution to it, in mobile network settings, APN I disabled IPv6, and allowed only IPv4, 2 today's without any problems.

Same issue here on S24+ and unfortunately changing to IPv4 didn't help either. The phone shows full signal but data stop working for a minute or two randomly. I already tried resetting the network settings, using 4G only, and even switching carriers (I have two). Suspect the April 1 update, I don't remember any issues before that 😞
