S24 plus battery drain began 2 days ago

Hi Folks,

My battery on my new s24 plus has been amazing since I got it 1.5 months ago. 2 days ago phone started to get hot and battery draining fast even on battery save mode.

I just cleared cache by following instructions but my phone was 99% charged this morning on battery mode and with 2 hours of screen time 6 hours total day time phone is now on 31% and gets got from regular use. 

Why is this happening now? Someone mentioned others have got it after a system update? I closed all apps and everything and still draining. My battery use history is showing twice as high last 2 days despite same screen time. 

Example- today 2 hours screen time 70% battery used. Before my issues I'd use 4 hours of screen time a day and use 40-50% battery. 

Please help!

yes today I checked for new updates on the s21 ultra and received an update. after this update, I installed Company Portal app again.  currently it works. no heat, no battery drain 25% per hour.

after reinstallation I needed to disable battery optimisation in the settings of company portal app.

Yes, this worked for me. I just turn on the work apps when I need to use it and turn off again. It certainly is needing a fix!

Same issue after march update..battery was like boom 1-2% down

samsung February update does not like Microsoft company portal app

It is quite ridiculous that these things are not being checked by Samsung, every 2nd person I know uses a work profile on their phone given the increase in remote work/working from home. Had a chat with Samsung today and they did confirm a fix is in the works at least

I'm so glad to hear they are working on fixing this! I use it everyday... I had work apps on for an hour and it drained 35% battery.

Hopefully there is a fix as oneplus gets 9+ hours ost I'd expect 7 minimum from samsung
