S-Pen ... didn't receive warning when left behind

I found the S-Pen back but was surprised I never received a warning.

I was in bed when I realized the S-pen was missing and discovered it downstairs on my desk.

Is this me or don't I understand how the 'warning if left behind' works?

Maybe it was still in bluetooth range? Was it disconnected from your phone's bluetooth or maybe you didn't realise it was still connected. I realised my bluetooth devices stay connected even though I'm in the garden and my phone is in the house or the other way round. They remain connected all throughout my house. The range is surprisingly long and strong.

In this link they mention disabling physical activity for air command.

Hi Dave.

You have the below setting ON?

It seems it would only notify if your screen is off.

So If you had the screen ON maybe it wouldn't notify.

That setting was enabled.  It's possible I walked upstairs with the screen on, but the phone was placed on my wireless charger and the screen was at one point off for hours.

When I took the phone off the charger this morning there were no warnings at all.

I'm not going to make an issue over this as I quickly found the S-Pen back.

I would have thought once I moved out of Bluetooth range I would have been alerted.

You're correct, it was in Bluetooth range.  I put the phone on the charger, opened Spotify without starting a tune, pressed the button on the S-Pen at my desk, and when I went back to the phone, Spotify was playing.

Glad to hear you were able to figure it out and that your device is all good. The bluetooth connection is rock solid on this phone.
