I have this problem too

My phone is a S24 Plus. I have an app whose notifications I have set with a specific sound.

The notifications of this app are important for me so I have set this app to repeat notifications each 3 minutes in Settings>Notifications>Advanced Setings>Repeat Notifications.

The problem is that the sound in the repetitions is the system defaut notifications sound and not the specific selected sound for the app.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello there,

I can confirm that the repeated notification sound is the no-specific-app notification sound.

I couldn't find any hidden settings to force the repeated notification sound to be the same as the chosen sound of the app. Unfortunately, even routines don't change notification sounds, but they can change call ringtone

My solution:

Based on the fact that you said that the notification of this app is of utmost importance, change the general notification sound, or the default, to match that you choose for the app, and change that app's sound to default. Then, and this can be painful, change the sound of all other notifications to something else

Thanks.

I had yet thought this possibilty. I think there would be a better solution. That's to make a routine so when the notification arrives as a condition then an action would set the default system sound to the sound I want. when the routine finish the the default system sound would return to the original one.

But I don't know how to set an action in the routine to change the default system sound.

I already answered that 😅. Unfortunately, routines have no authorities to change the notification tone. it is strange but true.

Instead, they can change calling ring tone. it's a missing feature.
