S21 Ultra can invoke Gemini with a swipe, just like the S24 Ultra. There are functionally better uses on the older devices and Android 15/OneUI 7 doesn't make that any more convenient. I'm not sure what you're referring to in regard to the Bixby button and Gemini, but personally I always use a swipe on the S21 Ultra, or in the case of the S25 Ultra, a less convenient method with the side bar app shortcut to Gemini. The power button is a power button for me. Honestly, if I wanted a digital assistant button, they should've just added that god awful Bixby button they put on the S8+...

Oops,  thanks for tip, I forgot about this setting,  now I turn Assistent app on, so I don't have to call Gemini anymore 😄👍

And guess what...Now I have Gemini app on S9+ too 🤭 , because 

 And guess what. It works nice and smooth on S9+.

Thank you for sharing this. I think the video gives a very plausible explanation at the end. S25 series came with the stable  (production) One UI 7 for the S25 series. However, a production release does not mean it is the final product. It will have bugs and code that can be optimized. It happens on all software development.

What the video really shows is that the beta 6 for the S24 series has been optimized really well, in part because Samsung does not need to rush into fixes. The S25 series being in a production state means that Samsung has to concentrate on fixing bugs rather than optimisations.

I've never tried it with Google Assistant, but today I tried with Gemini what I usually do with Bixby. ( Hi, Bixby, take a screenshot. )

Hey, Google, take a screenshot.  And guess what. It's work better than Bixby.  I accidentally discovered that Gemini can take a screenshot.  I wanted to enable Bixby to take a screenshot while playing media on my phone and I got this

 Oooo, when I saw that, I started playing with Gemini. Hey, Google, take a screenshot,  woala here it is. It takes a screenshot of the exact screen I requested it on, even when that image disappears, i.e. when calling Gemini takes me back to the home screen. Bixby can't do that.

If you think that's good, it gets better. So. Google assistant was it's own thing, it worked well with pre-made responses and things. Bixby was similar but with deep roots into samsung phones. Gemini then started as an app to replace the google assistant. Whatever you said was sent to a server and a response came back. If you asked it to actually do something, it swapped to google assistant mode.

Here's where they start getting good.

During the launch of the s25 series, google and samsung announced they were combining google assistant, Gemini and bixby into a single assistant. That's what I have right now. It takes the best of all of them and the deep rooted control samsung can offer it.

It's been a little bit since this was made a thing, google seem to now be updating Gemini on every other phone to bring these features to everyone. So they kinda tested it out with the s25 then updated everyone else with bits of features.
