Just promises are made. No clear timelines have been mentioned anywhere for S24 and previous series. Sammy lacks software capabilities. I regret switching to Samsung ecosystem.

that's so cool the s 25U worked out for you, so many YouTube videos of people saying this and that on it and I did see some bad screen issues on it, but its probably the person dropped it and saying its samsung and wasn't but every new device isnt perfect by far my s24U took months to settle 100% but the glitches were similar to you and most can be fixed in settings and may sound funny a google search and usually tells in a setting issue and done.. my s 24U was the first batch I pre ordered mine first day and got it less than a week anyway glad you s25U panned out for the better

Android 15 has been out since October.  It's now February almost 6 months later.  Samsung has been very slow in supporting this release and honestly been really disappointing.  Albeit, I would rather for a very stable release.  That said, they have had plenty of time to work on the Android 15 OS to the One UI and honestly One UI 7 on the surface looks like a mild upgrade.  Changing icons isn't a coding issue but a UI DX issue which is the easiest part of the OS experience.  Hopefully, there was a ton of cleanup of old code and improving the overall code base.  We shall see but for those of us using the last version of the flagship, it's disappointing how poorly communication has been.

No release date yet. Worst case scenario speaking, the update probably will not roll out in Canada for S24 Ultra and other devices until S26 Ultra is released next year (2026) Pixels got the update in October 2024, Samsung should have had it by now. Maybe Samsung delays it completely, wanting customers to spend $2,000+ on the S25 Ultra and then another $200+ (assumption, yes) for a S25 Ultra compatible bluetooth S-Pen.

Who knows when the Android 15 will arrive on the S24 Ultra, if ever.

Thank you so much for making this post, you represent all of us man, samsung is really disappointing with this delay, and it makes no sense since s25 series already have the One UI 7 up and running....

I agree with you 200%. They have no excuse.  Very mid range Chinese phone are running Android 15 with no issues.  Samsung is just pushing people to buy galaxy's 25 series which I find to be disgusting as practice.  Claiming 7 years of updates doesn't mean anything if any update will be a year late

Next year I will think twice before buying another phone.  They are showing no consideration for the customers

None of that changes the fact that Samsung drags their feet on every update they have ever done. Samsung is no ran like a communist country, the customer doesn't have a say so in anything Samsung does as it pleases. Well they are breaking their own EULA, by not providing timely updates. My S23 Ultra stays a month behind in security updates. Their 4 years of OS support is worthless if it take 18 and 20 months to release the updates! So you actually only get 2 or 3 updates during that 4 years. Well this is a game changer for me! This will be my last Samsung! I did not spend over 1000 dollars for crappy customer service, late updates, and being forced to use Google apps! Why not just buy a Google? That way you get the newest OS first, you don't have to rely on third party apps, they are forcing use to use Google for everything anyway. If I wanted a Pixel experience I would have bought a Pixel! Samsung can pucker up! See if I buy another Samsung anything!
