One Ui Home Crashes trying to add a Widget

When trying to add a new widget to my home screen the One UI Home app crashes and takes me back to my home screen. I've waited a few weeks to see if it's a bug but no updates have come through to fix it.

Any thoughts? Can someone help me?

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Customer to Customer Forum

Have you ever Wiped Partition Cache on your device? I would recommend this as a first step.

This does not delete data from your device other than temporary cached files.

1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer USBC to USBC (you may also connect to another Samsung mobile via USBC). Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Hi there, @AntCahill29. If clearing the cache partition of your phone hasn't resolved your issue then we would recommend sending us an Error report.

By sending us an Error report, our software engineers will be able to receive data logs relating to the problem you are experiencing. This data is anonymised and only held for the duration of the investigation of the report.

To do this, please follow the simple steps below:

> Launch the Samsung Members app on your phone. If you do not have this installed, you can download it from the Galaxy Store: https://galaxystore.samsung.com/prepost/000006270410

> Tap on "Support", located on the bottom right of the Members app.

> Scroll down and select "Send feedback", tap the pencil icon, and then "Error reports".

> Choose "Application".

> Make sure that "Send system log data" is ticked to help resolve your question quickly.

> Describe your problem in detail.

> Change "Frequency" to whatever you prefer.

> Tap the Send icon on the top right of the screen.

You can also follow our handy guide, which provides screenshots of the above process: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/mobile-apps-services/samsung-members-app-how-to-send-an-error-re...

Please do not terminate (swipe away) the Samsung Members application until you are notified that the report has been sent. This can take up to 5 minutes. If you can, please send an Error report as soon as you experience the issue (preferably within 15 minutes, in order for us to get the data that we need).

An expert from the Samsung Members team will respond to your report as quickly as possible. You will find their response in the section titled "Check feedback you've sent" in the Samsung Members app.

I have been having this issue for weeks as well. Cleared cache and data in OneUI app and still having the error. I will try wiping the cache partition as suggested.
