How do you change the notification so that when click on it, it just opens the app to the inbox instead of the message. This new method requires more clicks.

Both Outlook and Gmail. It is frustrating. I have to jump to an email, just to delete it, to get to my inbox. Samsung should give the option to revert back. I hate being told how I should manage my phone. This is why I never used an apple product. Now, Samsung and android are trying to be more like apple.

Just want to say with my Jason brethren that I concur, and I'd like to add my voice to the masses who prefer to open the full email app again easily through the notification panel (rather than the extra steps needed to see our full inboxes by having to select the individual email first). This was a really weird, unnecessary change.

This is insane. All this time and effort to make things easier, faster, and more customizable, yet Samsung removed a basic function we all use? They're not offering a reversal or customization here? It's the FIRST thing I noticed after the upgrade. Disgraceful.

My apologies, John. I wrote assuming Samsung folks might read it. I've edited my post to make that point clear.
I hope all is well with you!

Another vote for the most annoying change ever.

Another vote for it to go back to how it used to be. I also do not appreciate being locked down on this feature and not being able to have a choice to change it back. They gave us the option w/ the new notification vs quick settings panels being split up, why not this notification action too?!
Pushing me closer to a Pixel being my next phone, Samsung...been buying Samsung religiously for 10 years but my S22 being bricked from the UI 6.1 update and Samsung still refusing to acknowledge that issue, and now more unnecessary changes with 7 that makes a function far less efficient, giving me less reasons to stay loyal. 😕
