It makes no sense to me, why is system notification sound separated by SIMs?

I have two physical sim cards in my phone and like to separate the tones used so I know who's texting me on one network sim or the other.
i.e I have the ²nd sim for work use.
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I agree with @BandOfBrothers it makes sense to have different tones for different SIMs. You will know which number they tried to contact without having to look at the phone.
I you had a number to give to shops and the like, you might not be so keen to answer/check the phone.

But inside the Messages apps you can set up SIM notifications separately. This doesn't even work like that, it separates SYSTEM notification by SIMs.

You completely miss understood me. What you're talking about, the calls, ringtone for the calls can be set by SIMs, yes. But that has nothing to do with these SIMs having SYSTEM notification on them to separate SYSTEM notifications.

Same question but I have problem, drives me crazy.
I have S24 Ultra as well / physical SIM Card on IMEI1 and eSIM on IMEI2
And I use different notification sound for SIM1 / SIM2(eSIM)
But after I upgraded to OneUI7, ALL of my notification sound changed into SIM 2 notification sound.
Which should be SIM 1 notification sound !
I've tried remove eSIM and add again, disable both and enable SIM first and then eSIM,,,,, nothing worked.
I gave up and I'll just change SIM 2 notification sound into same one as SIM 1 and gonna change ONLY the SMS notification sound for SIM 2 😞 (Which is emotionally very uncomfortable but It seems it's the only way to fix my problem)
