When ever I update my phone, I get a notification sound while it's doing the update, this goes off every 2 seconds during the update.

This has followed me all the way from my old s22, and no matter where I look in the settings, I can never find how to turn it off.

Anyone else had this issue and manage to stop it?

Hi @Carl-d1988 and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋

I've never experienced this sound myself ever when performing a software update on my phone's 🤔

It might be beneficial to clear the phone's System Partition Cache Files Section.

  • Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }

If the tone is following the phone's are you using a regular back up i.e Samsung Cloud or Samsung SmartSwitch to move across data ?

If so then you could consider a factory reset but then set up the phone manually instead of using the back up _ as a very last resort.

Or if this is just happening during a software update then is it a deal breaker to let it continue.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "
