Hi all,

How do you take a great picture of the sky? What magic do you do?

Do you use Pro shot for example?

What do you do?

Thanks.

To take photos of the sky with a Samsung Galaxy phone, you can use the Expert RAW app to access Astrophoto mode:

Download the free Expert RAW app from the Galaxy Store

Open the app and go to Settings

Turn on Special photo options to access Astrophoto mode

Turn on RAW photo capture for detailed images

Select the Astrophoto button, which looks like a constellation icon

Choose your exposure duration

Select your lens

Press the shutter button

Here are some tips for taking photos of the sky with a Samsung Galaxy phone:

Use a tripod: A tripod will help keep your phone steady and from moving when you take the photo

Find a dark location: Try to find a place with little to no light pollution from cities or towns

Use a light pollution map: You can use a site like Dark Site Finder to find a dark location

Choose the right time of year: Ideally, you'll want to shoot during a new moon

Use the right settings: Some recommended settings include:

Shutter speed: 30 seconds

ISO: 3200

Manual focus: 0.8

White balance: 3700-4300K

Use the Camera Assistant app: This app lets you customize your shooting experience by turning on or off features like Auto HDR and Auto lens switching

Hi @Jammy97 👋

If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within.

Personally I'm a point and click type of photograph taken and manage to get good photo's.

Something simple such as a gimbel or tri pod can help too.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "
