Im not sure if its the June update
But my s24 wont go 120 hz
Yes I turned on adaptive motion smoothness and no power saving
Using show refresh rate in developer options
I found out for some odd reason it only goes to 120 hz when I use pop up view or split screen

Your phone wont actually display at 120hz unless needed, hence why its called adaptive. For things such as scrolling, it may use 120hz, but for just having your home screen open not doing anything your phone will stay at 60hz as nothing more is needed than that.

Your phone will typically sit at 1hz if it's a static screen. This is normal and expected behaviour as you wouldn't even know it. It will attempt to achieve 120hz if and when the application requires, but some are hard coded to run at a specific rate, like watching videos on YouTube for example. Your device will adjust accordingly. Unless you're sitting around staring at an FPS monitor, you shouldn't notice it unless you make some kind of forced effort to.
