My files app is messed up

Hello, recently i been experiencing problems with my gallery app, for example I downloaded a video from tiktok it didn't come to my gallery and when I checked my files app. It was saved somewhere completely different what do I do?

Search Files for the title of the video?

I was thinking is there any possible way to reset the file layout ? Like how it comes stock

Don't know about that. But in Gallery tap the 3 lines at the bottom right to choose Video. Might find your video there?

Instead of going to the pictures section of gallery did you try go to the albums section to see if a separate section was created as sometimes that happens

If you're downloading from the internet then it usually goes to the download folder. If you've got the tiktok app installed then could save videos to its own folder. Open the gallery then click view all top right. Nothing to do with the my files app.

Go to my files open just under internal storage click essentials then all might be in videos at the bottom that were Instagram videos store
If its a m4a don't show in gallery only my files
