Much slower perfomance when during video whats app call

Hey,  i dont know if that issue was from the begging or not but I noticed  that today.

When Im during video call on whats app everything is fine, but When i will want to do something in the same time when during the video call, then I can feel perfomance of the device is much slower.

For example When i will just scroll in settings I can feel and see how animation are much slower ,(it feel like its below 60hz) and Yes my settings in in adaptive refresh 120hz.

 Same thing happening in other apps, everything opens or react slower and animation are visible slower too.

 I tested that on my other phones which is z fold 6 and flip 6.

Is whatsapp video call that depending and slows down your phone?

Im a bit suprised as s24 ultra sames goes for fold or flip far from being old or slow devices, so Im shocked this has huge impact on phone perfomance. Like when you will try multitasking druing  whatsapp video calls its really annoying, as device perfomance is much slower.

 So I can see its not about my s24 ultra as the problem is in other 2 phones.

Well Maybe I expect a bit to much, after all its just a phone but still, is that really that depending ?

I video calling are quite resource hungry and I personally try not to do other stuff on the phone or prefer just a voice call over video if video is not needed.

I'm not sure if the ramplus option might help in these scenarios.
I prefer it off 😌

I have not noticed a slow down whilst on WhatsApp video calls, but I usually do not do something else during the video call.

Have you opened Device care and check how much memory is free during the video call?

Do you have RAM plus enable?

Do you have power saving option to reduce CPU to 70%?

@Katsunaki: When you're on a video call, tap the Recents button in your Navigation bar and swipe upwards on any apps that you're not using to close them. Now, head to Settings > Device care > Performance profile > Make sure that this is set to 'Standard'. Further to the above, tap the Back button > Memory > RAM Plus > On > Increase this to 8GB to see if you notice an improvement.

Yeah ram plus if on,

power saving is off.

ram during call was like 3.5gb free

storage of a phone I still have 400gigs free.

Suprised whatsapp video call is that depending and slows that even s24 ultra that much when u try do something, else its not like its completely unsuable, but its working like 50% sloweers when on video call

 Everything which u mention is on. I have default settings so ram plus is set to maximum.

Perfomance is in standard as default.

Its not like device is not unsuable, but when during video call on whast app device is much slower, but sadly this also happens on z fold 6 and flip 6 so i guess its normal, but still Im was expecting a bit more from top devices,  its just suprising a video call can take so much resources from a device

Im using the s24+ and having the same problem, its very dissapointing. Im also experiencing spike lags in games also frame rate lags on social media apps like tiktok, instagram. The phone gets hot quickly. Have  you found a solution yet?
