Message App Crashing

Message app constantly crashing even when just open for a few seconds. 

No phone or app updates to install. 

Rebooted phone and still no joy.

Any recommendations?

This is happening to me but it is only on one message.  When I try to open the message it crashes. The meet fix didn't work for me.

@Jill Hulum : I'm sorry to hear that the issue has persisted for you. An update for the Samsung Messages app is due to be released soon which will resolve the Google Meet integration problem, however in the meantime you may wish to assign Google Messages as your default SMS app by heading to Settings > Apps > Choose default apps > SMS app > Google Messages (Blue bubble on a white background). Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you.

This "solution" isn't working for my samsung messages. The app still crashes.

Same and I tried doing the fix still no luck. I cleared cache and data the retried using without account and it work for a short time untill reverting back to crashing overnight

I have uninstalled Google Meet and the issue continues.

My Messages app shuts down when I try to attach a photo to any of my contacts, and 1 and only 1 contact will not stay open at all.  It's like it's corrupt.  How do i fix this.  Google meet is disabled and that did not solve my issue.

I had similar problem; however, when I went to setting, I noticed that this app did not have any permission. Once I gave it all the permissions, then it started working.
