Message App Crashing

Message app constantly crashing even when just open for a few seconds. 

No phone or app updates to install. 

Rebooted phone and still no joy.

Any recommendations?

Holy cow you was right. I can open Messages but when I click a conversation it would instantly close the app. After Disabling the Meets app, it 100% works fine again. Thank you so much. Dont need a new phone now

i mean, Navigate to Settings > Apps > Meet > Disable  seems to have solved the problem. Weird, but thanks

Since yesterday the message app started crashing too, deactivating google meet helped.

Uninstall meet . I never used it anyway.. messages working fine now .. thanks for giving solution to a frustrated old man who was just about to throw his phone down the garden 🤪

There is no meet option?
