Hi all, based in England UK

Wanted to see if anyone has any experience in making a money claim against Samsung in the UK? Specificially against the samsungoffers - is it the same company?

They rejected my claim and won't look into it which is £200 gone which is why I'm considering this route but not sure 'who' I would be taking to court

Did they say why they rejected the claim?

Tbh, companies will have terms which will protect them from legal action such as stating, at their discretion, they can revoke/reject the promotion.

Yes, because in the past I claimed an offer then returned the phone but received the rewards but didn't contact them.

I bought an s23 in Dec 23, claimed for it, then bought an s23+ (better deal), claimed for that, returned my s23.

Received a rejection for my claim for my s23 stating since I returned the phone I wouldn't be eligible. Except, no phone was listed in the email, and upon further inspection, they sent that email for the S23+ claim, the phone I still have. They approved the s23 and I received the rewards for it.

I assumed the rejected one was for the S23 but apparently not. So yes I claimed and received rewards then returned the phone and did not tell them, but I assumed it was for the S23+ (same rewards) and assumed no further action needed due to claim being rejected.

I have tried explaining it but they are stonewalling me and not really looking at the details - doesn't matter to them I guess.

So now the s24 ultra I bought has had it's claimed rejected due to the above.

Their is a technical error with the email as I have the phone they claim I returned, so their fault has led to me not informing them.

Obviously we have no access to accounts here @gangstahamsta

From what you explain you have kept Rewards that shouldn't have been retained due to returns which has happened.

I guess Samsungs algorithms have picked this up from your account transactions to counter this happening again.

Ultimately it's your responsibility to inform Samsung of any changes and on the flip side Samsungs responsibility to claim back.

Was the purchases all through Samsung UK or  through other retailers.

You could send a private message to SAM_UK however if the department that controls all this has rejected your recent claim, then I don't think there's much that can be achieved.

I wish you all the best.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

But they sent me an email in Jan saying my claim has been rejected due to returning the phone, is it not reasonable to assume it is referring to the phone I actually returned?

Did your claim have anything to do with the initial purchase in getting your S23+? If so, then Samsung may reject it due to you returning your first device.

Thought it might be worth updating. After 20 emails or so and a letter before action, they reversed their decision and said the initial handler must have missed the evidence attached

hi

can i ask what letter you sent  and how you worded it?

i purchased 3 sounds bars for my home, i have 3 rooms with 3 samsung tv's and purchased a sound bar for each room.

there was a promotion on each soundbar for £400 cashback, i made a claim and they rejected it by accusing me off buying the sound bars to sell them off, which is totally false as i have them installed and up and running in my house and connected to my smart things account.

they asked for pictures for evidence which i provided and still refused quoting rejected as itrem cannot be pu

they are refusing to pay out as according to them they were purchased for resale.

i am now £1200 out of pocket and cant even retuyrn the items as they have been used by me in my house.

can you give me a template of the letter you sent so i can take samsung to court .

i have been a samsung customer since the galaxy original galaxy phone and have spent  thousands with them, but after i take them to court i will never buy another samsung product again.
