I already have an s24 which outperforms the laptop ive been looking at the galaxy book 2 go
Even the macbook air m1 is about the same as my phone
And for typing my tab a9 has a keyboard case

I asked myself the same question. I did purchase a laptop, but between my tablet and fold 6, it sees very little use. The main thing it is used for is libre office that I use for excel type documents.

I like a laptop for certain tasks. It provides better interface. Both, phone and laptop can be integrated nicely with each other.

Of course, this is just a matter of personal taste.

In my opinion the major difference between a laptop and a phone (About 2 weeks after switching to a book 5 pro) is the compatability of apps. Ive recently started creating apps / websites using AI and the book 5 pro outperforms my S25 ultra in terms of Gemini writing the code, it all does depend on the laptop u go for, What your going to be doing, and if you think its worth it for your use cases.

Absolutely, it depends on what you use mainly.
The first time ever I decided to take a tablet instead of a laptop. I purchased a Tab S10 Ultra a month ago.
For me, I need to use a few Microsoft apps, emails, team calls, editing, and streaming. All of them work perfectly.
Streaming and editing on Windows was a disaster for me. So at the moment, I think I made a good decision. Plus, the battery lasts at least a day with full use.

I do not know your needs. There are certain applications which are better on a laptop/PC.

For most Web interface services I prefer a Laptop, backing up different devices, ease of use of some apps. In addition, the laptop will have a different OS which is also needed for some cases.

To get a laptop is entirely upto your usage and needs. I will not be getting rid of my laptop for now.

I use a tower desktop with a 45" curved monitor for serious stuff and have several things on the go at once. I also use an s24 ultra for convenience and playing music to my hifi. Also have a laptop but just use that for monitoring CCTV.
