I saw this thread too late. But, if you are still interested, it is possible to change each app to immersive mode through adb commands.
Basically, you have to turn on usb debugging, connect it to your PC, then you have to find the name of the data folder of the app you want to change it. After you do that, you open the cmd and use:
- Hide status bar and navigation bar:
adb shell settings put global policy_control immersive.full=name of the data folder of the app
- Hide only status bar:
adb shell settings put global policy_control immersive.status=name of the data folder of the app
- Hide only navigation bar:
adb shell settings put global policy_control immersive.navigation=name of the data folder of the app
