Hate new UI 7 update (please help me change two things?)

Hi,

As its been said many times online I HATE the new samsung update, I HATE iphones and apple products, thats why i've always had samsung, now this is like having an apple overnight. If I knew they were gona do this i'd of bought a pixel. 

But theres two features I really need help with changing if anyone knows please?

1st of all is there a way to delete the bar at the top where my music plays? (Usually spotify) it irritates me no end, the writing even moves when i'm trying to do things on my phone. I really DO NOT need to see this and if I do I really don't want it to move.

Secondly I don't want the search bar for my apps at the bottom, I want it at the top like the old days (2 days ago lol)

Any help would help me so so much. I figured myself from you tube how to change that AWFUL AWFUL swipe down thing, where it brought up only notifications, unless you swiped in a tiny little bit in the right hand corner. Wish I could meet who came up with this genius new update.

3rd question is there anywhere you can complain? Quite sure would make no difference but i'd like these clowns know a lot aren't happy.

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Forum

Whilst you are welcome to your opinion, reality is very different. You have one of the most customisable devices in the world and it is nothing like iPhone or IoS.

To answer your second question about the search bar, this is a GOOGLE change to Android. Not Samsung. So every Android device is going that way regardless of manufacturer.

A search on the forum would have answered that for you.

For the first of the two... you can turn off the Now Bar functionality, and the small top bar will disappear. If it is just the music player that bothers then you can change just the music player.

Head to 'lockscreen and AOD' and NowBar. Try turning media player on and off.

For the APP search function being at the bottom ... there is not currently a way.

However there is every chance a new version of 'Home Up' customisation could include the search bar moving.

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community!

Sorry to tell you, but most of the changes will be on Pixel too. Google makes Android, and this change is due to Android 15. This affects all Android devices.

As others have stated you can turn off now bar

You can't change the location for apps search

Hi and welcome, first of all I have no idea what you are talking about when referring to it sounding like an STD, that's ridiculous and a pointless statement.

The search bar at the bottom is a Google thing and for one handed usage its much better than before.

To stop Spotify or other media from showing in the bar at the top switch off the tab in the screenshot im showing here circled.

If you want to complain im sure you are intelligent enough to find Samsungs customer complaints department online, its not exactly rocket science.

Yes not samsungs fault. Googles, though samsung have them do their software and phones so it is theirs too really.

But we're running One UI 7 now and not the stock Android display manager (or launcher or springboard or however it's called right). Is there a lack of knowledge what One UI is about? UI sounds like User Interface. But might be that's wrong
