Solved: Google wallet nfc stopped and it won't go on.

This is a problem i suspect with Google wallet, it sometimes even does this on Googles own pixel phones. It stops working after updating the app itself and then starts working a week or two later once Google updates security on their end. Have you tried switching on nfc in phone settings instead of via Google wallet? Have you set Google wallet as the default wallet and have you checked permissions in app settings?

@Carl7: If you head to Settings > Connections > NFC and contactless payments, is this toggled on? If so, tap on 'Contactless payments' and make sure that Google Pay is selected, and 'Pay with currently open app' is switched on. Furthermore, tap on 'Others' at the top of the screen, and make sure that Google Wallet is visible here, and there is a blue tick to the left of the option.

The toggle I change to on in settings but then when go out and back in it is off

I used it on the 17th jan in the evening all fine didn't use it on the 18th jan, went to pay for petrol 4am today and noticed it.
